The Steve Fund has created a first-of-its-kind, online Knowledge Center with expert information related to the mental health and emotional well-being of students of color. The center can be accessed free of charge at www.stevefund.org/knowledgecenter. It currently includes more than thirty white papers, videos of expert presentations and interviews, and Webinars. The white papers cover subjects such as “What We Know About the Mental Health of Students of Color during College” and “What Parents of College Students of Color Need to Know”. Expert videos include topics such as “The History of Mental Health Services and Policies for African Americans” by Dr. King Davis, “Understanding and Overcoming Challenges to the Mental Health of High-Aspiring Young People of Color,” by Dr. Annelle Primm, and “Bridge over Troubled Waters: Maintaining Wellness for Students of Color in Racially and Academically Stressful Environments” by Dr. Kevin Cokley. The Steve Fund Knowledge Center represents a priority for the Steve Fund, aimed at providing actionable and vetted expert information to help students, parents, university administrators and other stakeholders better support student-of-color mental health. Women’s History Month: Our Stories, Our Time
During March, a month designated for the celebration of women’s history, the Steve Fund centers the mental health of young women of color. Women are more likely than men to
